[Introspective] My Advice to My Younger Self

For the past two years, I've been doing some much-needed soul searching and reflection on my life journey. Naturally, with the knowledge I know now as an adult; I pondered what advice I'd bestow upon my younger self if I could go back in time and it would be the following:

Health & Wellness

Taking care of your health and wellness needs to be a priority because if you're not well and healthy, you'll greatly limit your activity and stop yourself from accomplishing your dreams or goals. For starters, you need to maintain a healthy diet by first adhering to a strictly vegetarian diet before transitioning fully to a vegan or plant-based diet full-time. You are what you eat after all and nutrition plays a vital role in maintaining health, wellness, and a healthy lifestyle.

Career & Education

As early as middle school or as late as high school nail down your passion or passions. What would you like to pursue as a career? Create a roadmap on how you plan to get there. Do you really need to go to college or are there more viable cost-effective ways to achieve your desired outcomes? There are many options on the table.

Self-Care

Time must be set aside for personal self-care routines weekly. Don't allow yourself to get lost in the sauce of the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Slow down, smell the roses, meditate, and clear your mind.

What advice would you tell your younger self?

[List] My Top 10 Favorite Saved by the Bell Episodes

Saved by the Bell (1989) Peter Engel Productions//NBC Productions (NBC) I grew up watching reruns of Saved by the Bell, and I decided to list my top 10 favorite episodes from the show. Therefore, there will be no episodes from Good Morning, Miss Bliss. 10. "Drinking and Driving" This particular episode presented an important message in a manner that didn't come across as preachy and it really resonated. The message presented was loud and clear and so were the potential consequences of drinking and driving. 9. "All in the Mall" I enjoyed all of the hijinks that ensued during this episode. Imagine spending the night at the mall to buy some concert tickets.  8. "The Wicked Stepbrother (Part 2)" Eric was a good foil to Zack and gave him the runaround. Also, it was nice that Lisa was able to have her own serious love interest that lasted for more than one episode.  7. "Fourth of July" I enjoyed the overall premise of this episode. For example, t...

[Opinion] In the Future, it's Going to Become Harder to Book Headlining Talent for the Super Bowl

Pretty much every Super Bowl Sunday there are 4 things people look forward to the actual game, the commercials, the food, and the Super Bowl Half-Time Show. However, going forward it's going to become increasingly difficult for the NFL to book Headlining talent who's never performed at the Super Bowl before, and here's why: The music industry is not producing Popstars or music Superstars anymore. In the Digital Age of Media, everything's become fractured and decentralized. Right now, the music industry veterans are carrying the industry on their backs.  Old or older music is currently outselling the new or newer music that's being released. There are only a handful of musicians left who've never headlined the Super Bowl that could potentially put on a fantastic show worthy of a Football Stadium.

[Self-Help] Journaling

Greetings! I recognize that with all that's occurring in the world right now it's a stressful and anxiety-inducing time of uncertainty. However, people must practice self-care more than ever and take necessary breaks. One way to do that is through journaling. Journaling your own thoughts, concerns, feelings, or experiences often is a therapeutic way to alleviate stress and negative emotions that you have bottled up inside of yourself. It's not good to allow for these types of emotions to stay within you as they can negatively impact and eat away at you over time.  I found it's best to journal at your own leisure others found that it's best to set aside some time each day for journaling. However, you should do what works best for you.  It's quite simple to get started journaling you don't need to buy a fancy journal; a spiral notebook or even a composition notebook can serve as your journal. Therefore, I encourage you to incorporate journaling into your sel...
